Q. Is the COI® Cultural Assessment validated?
A. Yes, The Phase III version of the online Cultural Orientations Indicator® meets the validity and reliability requirements established by the Joint Committee on the Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing of the American Psychological Association for an instrument of its kind. It accurately measures individual cultural preferences as delineated within the Cultural Orientations Model™ and, when debriefed within the context of Berlitz developed initiatives, can serve as a useful tool in the identification of cultural differences as a step toward the development of improved cross-cultural effectiveness.
Q. How many languages is the COI® Cultural Assessment available in?
A. Currently, the COI® Assessment is available in 9 different languages - Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Polish, Spanish (Español), Spanish (Americano Latino). We are also in the process of translating the COI® into an additional four languages, including Arabic, Russian, Korean and Brazilian Portuguese.
Q. Who are Cultural Orientations Model™(COM™) / Cultural Orientation Indicator® (COI®) Certified Trainers?
A. COM™/COI® Certified Trainers are facilitators who have gone through our internal certification process in the Cultural Orientations Model™.
Q. What type of security measures are in place for the COI® Team Comparisons channel?
A. The COI® Team Comparisons channel contains several layers of security to help prevent users from accidentally releasing their personal COI® Reports to other users online. The three-step invitation process is designed to help user’s fully understand the information that they are releasing to their colleagues. After the initial invitation is sent and accepted, the invited user is required to complete their personal COI® Assessment before they can access the COI® Team Comparisons channel. When accessed, the user must agree to release their COI® results to each specific user or team in their listing, giving them full control over who has access to their profile.
